As a railfan, the train references always make me laugh. There was no direct train from Santa Fe to Detroit, though you could change trains in Chicago. And the Great Northern never went to Cheyenne. However, what “Jack Straw” lacks in accuracy it makes up for in feel — I’ve always enjoyed this song and Bruce never fails to do a great job with it.
